Services / IT support
Your IT, looked after by people you can ring
We handle day-to-day IT for London businesses and households — file servers, email, web and network services — hosted or monitored by us, supported on site and remotely. For a small business that means a complete virtual IT department without employing one.
01The problem
Four suppliers, no owner
The reason technology feels harder than it should is rarely the technology. It is that nobody owns the whole of it.
The broadband is one company, email is another, the website was built by someone who has since moved abroad, the accounts software has its own helpdesk, and the laptops go to whoever is closest when they break. Each supplier is responsible for their own piece and for nothing in between — which is precisely where problems live.
We take the whole estate: one firm that knows how it fits together, and one number to call.

02What is included
What we actually do
- Day-to-day support — the things that stop work: email that will not send, a printer nobody can reach, a file that has vanished, a machine that will not start
- Monitoring and maintenance — watching servers, backups and disk health so that faults are found before they are noticed
- Servers and file sharing — hosting or looking after file, email and web servers, and making shared files behave properly across Mac and Windows
- Backup — designed, tested, and actually checked, which is the part most setups quietly skip
- Procurement and setup — advising on what to buy, then configuring and delivering it ready to work
- Moves and changes — new starters, leavers, new offices, and the day the whole company relocates
- Security and privacy — see digital privacy & security
Urgent problems get a fast response, remotely where that solves it and in person where it does not.
03For households
Households run on the same infrastructure
A modern house carries more connected equipment than a 2004 office did: laptops, tablets, telephones, printers, a television that requires an account, distributed audio, cameras, a doorbell, heating controls, and a router in a cupboard that everything depends on.
We look after all of it, for families and for family offices — including the part that matters most, which is the photographs and documents that exist in exactly one place and are genuinely irreplaceable.
Where it makes sense to put that on a formal footing, the Technology Concierge covers everything for an annual fee.
04Questions
Common questions about IT support
Do you only support Apple?
No. The name is about where we started, not what we will touch. Most of the offices and homes we look after are mixed — Macs, Windows PCs, iPhones, Android, and equipment from a dozen manufacturers — and we support the whole environment.
How small a business is too small?
None. A number of our clients are two or three people, or a sole practitioner with one machine that cannot be down. That is the size that suffers most when technology fails, because there is nobody in-house to ask.
Do you charge a monthly retainer or per visit?
Either. Some clients prefer a fixed arrangement so support is simply available; others prefer to call us when they need us. We will tell you which one is likely to cost you less based on how much you actually call.
Can you fix things without coming to the office?
Much of it, yes — remote support is faster for anything that does not involve a cable or a screwdriver. We come in person when the problem is physical or when it is genuinely quicker to be in the room.
We already have an IT company. Can you take over?
Yes, and it is a routine piece of work. We document what exists, take control of the accounts and domains that should have been yours all along, and move things across without a gap in service.
Do you host email and websites yourselves?
We do — see email, cloud & hosting. It means when something breaks, the people who answer the phone are the people who can fix it.
